By now we are realizing that there may not be any “getting back to normal.” The past is what it was.
We are now creating our new future, with our choices and actions, as we cope with historic events. It is up to us to let go and move on to an exciting, and yes, challenging new world.
Challenging is an understatement! But these experiences are giving us an opportunity to discover our core values. We are being given a chance to re-examine our choices, beliefs and lifestyle. Can we expand beyond the focus on “me and us (family and friends)” to the bigger picture of the community, the state, the country and the world? Earth is our space ship in the galaxy! We are all family. If we destroy the Earth where will we live?
This may all be a bit overwhelming, to say the least. The illusion that we had security, control, and could plan our future has been exposed as a fantasy. We are now being asked to live in the present, to connect, respond, empathize, comfort, encourage, and assist each other. We must adapt to survive. And continue to adapt, because it’s not over yet!
I invite you to hold with me a vision of peaceful, abundant, healthy, prosperous, communities and countries with equality, transparency, honesty, and strong leaders with integrity and determination to do what is best for the people.
