When things are going well, when life seems to flow along without too much fuss, it is easy to get lulled into complacency. We tend to believe that it will always keep going in that direction. We even expect it too. We are often surprised when it doesn’t.
Change does happen. It is unexpected. The measure of our skill is how we cope with adversity. Can we pivot and re-purpose our product, service, lifestyle, expectations, beliefs and goals, without sacrificing our values, integrity and morals?
This planetary reboot can be a great human opportunity. Even though it disturbs us on a deep emotional level. Denial, anger, frustration, panic and fear have been testing and teasing us to see what we are made of. Did we greedily hoard supplies and resources? Or did we reach out to help those less fortunate than us?
What have we learned? What have we let go of? What do we want to create? And who do we want to create it with? The opportunities are unlimited! The methods of achieving them have changed. We will figure this out. We will create a new way of being in community, family, friends, business, and more.
How do we do this? Evaluate what is working for us. Focus on that. Let go of what isn’t working. Experiment, try new ideas, and different ways of doing things. Ask yourself, “What can I change to make my life more relevant to the current situation?” Keep a journal of your experiences and experiments. Notice what new opportunities you are drawn to. Explore them with an open mind.
