If you are planning to take an actual trip be sure you check with the authorities and health rules of your destination, and any other towns or areas you plan to visit. With recent spikes in cases, some countries are blocking American citizens from entering. (We are still on the top of the list for the number of cases and deaths.) Other countries are mandating a 2-week quarantine on arrival for all tourists. There goes your vacation!
Many families are going camping. First, check availability with the site where you want to camp. Double-check on the day of your departure. This pandemic has a rapidly moving footprint. When cases suddenly spike then public places quickly close down.
For instance, Clark County, WA just had a spike in cases, increased by 39 cases! This time the age group that, by percentage, dominated the total cases were not the seniors but the 20 to 29-year-old group. Prior to this spike, there were Facebook photos and reports of this age group attending beaches, bars, and restaurants without face masks or social distancing.
The COVID 19 virus is real. It is dangerous. And it is affecting all age groups! This disease has a fast-changing footprint. We are dealing with viruses that can mutate. And this one has made several mutations, according to the scientists and doctors. Don’t get complacent! Follow the guidelines. Let’s all work together to stop this disease!
